After completing interior part I of this iconic building, our client decided to add 2 extra floor levels to their workspaces. Since this included one the larger inner courts, we have proposed to create a new type of working area. It is not just a workcafé, neither a meeting centre. It is a combination of many functions in one. There is a coffee bar, an open kitchen as well, and a lunch area. In addition, there are open meeting seats, touch down tables, a game corner, a snooker table, and stacked glass cubicals that perform as meeting, huddle or brainstorm spaces. 

Since this courtyard was orginally designed by MVSA Architects as inner gardens, we had the opportunity to play with the depth of the floor space. Instead of bringing the garden back, we decided to embed plants in every part of the design. In the floor, in planters and on top of the cubicals. Our strongest example of biophilic design so far. 

Another prominent element of this hybrid space are the large artwork, that has a acoustic function. Behind it, the former theater in the ‘nose’ of the glass shoe, has been transformed  to a training room. In combination with the work- and meetingspaces on the other floor levels, our client now has the full potential to develop their business to its best.
