Aramco

For Aramco, Casper Schwarz Architects developed a design that responds to the scale and technical precision associated with the energy sector, while introducing a strong spatial gesture that anchors the entire environment.

At the core of the concept lies a large social heart — a central space designed to quite literally “hug” its occupants. Rather than positioning communal areas as secondary elements, this project places collective experience at the centre of the floor plan. The social heart connects departments, encourages informal exchange, and acts as a spatial mediator between focused work zones and meeting environments. Its form and material articulation create a sense of enclosure and comfort without isolating it from the surrounding workplace.

The geometry of this central element contrasts with the rational structure of the building. Soft, embracing lines are set against the more orthogonal architectural framework, creating a spatial dialogue between precision and warmth. This balance reflects both the technical identity of the sector and the human dimension of the organisation.

Graphic expression plays a significant role throughout the interior. Elements derived from the Aramco logo were abstracted and translated into patterns, wayfinding components, and subtle material articulations. These graphic interventions strengthen orientation and identity without overwhelming the architectural clarity. Rather than applying branding superficially, the logo language was embedded into the spatial experience itself.

Workspaces are structured, efficient, and carefully detailed, supporting concentration and collaboration in equal measure. Meeting rooms and project areas are positioned strategically around the central heart, ensuring intuitive circulation and visual coherence across the 2,400 m² floor area.

The resulting environment combines technical clarity with a welcoming spatial core — a workplace that reflects the scale and ambition of the energy sector while offering a strong sense of connection and belonging.
